FIFTH WHEEL - MILTON

The Fifth Wheel has been open for over 30 years just off Highway 401 west of Toronto. I thought it looked tired and threadbare when I visited in late December 2007.

The Latest from Rob Archer: The entire chain of FIFTH WHEEL TRUCKSTOPS closed their doors on September 30 2015. The chain was located in Milton, Bowmanville, Grimsby, Cornwall and North Bay. No reason was given.

HANKS TRUCK FORUM member Terry Job drives this International for DOVER FLOUR MILLS. He had just weighed his truck when I saw it on 07/25/08 at the Milton Fifth Wheel. Here is a shot of trucks parked at the Milton 5th Wheel on 11-22-08 A Celadon Cascadia parked on a Saturday afternoon - June 2010

The two Internationals brighten an otherwise gray October day at the Milton Fifth Wheel. There are no Long Hoods in this line. Clarke Road Transport, Choice Reefer Services, Donnelly Farms and a Volvo from Forbes Hewlett are all parked in September 2010
This is a view of the property in Milton Ontario where the 5TH WHEEL TRUCKSTOP used to stand. The Blue Beacon Truck Wash remains in business. The Lube Shop building still stands but the other buildings have all been razed and the property fenced.
