Samuel & Sons Steel Service
Samuel, Son & Co. is a large metals distributor and processor. It's head office is on Dixie Road in Mississauga; and they have plants in other places. Trucking is an intregal part of their operations. KIM-TAM TRUCK LEASING is their in-house carrier.

I first shot some of Kim Tam's trucks in the 1970's. They ran Hayes tractors at that time.

Here is a picture of a couple of Hayes tractors taken in 1975 hauling for Kim Tan Truck Lease, which hauled steel for Samuel & Sons Steel Service Centres in Mississauga, ON. Robert Archer Collection.

I was driving, in the left turn lane, and saw this Samuel Steel W900 parked at a reataurant about half a kilometer away. So I took the picture after cranking the passenger window down. I saw this International Eagle parked in Hamilton Ont. in October 2004 Two Samuel Kim Tam Kenworths were parked at the coffee shop near the plant one morning.
This owner-operator Kenworth W900 was turning off Dixie Road on it's way to a delivery. - March 2005 This Sterling runs for Samuel's BOTHWELL STEEL division from Cambridge Ont. My friend Vern Drylie visited Las Vegas NV in March 2006 and took a picture of this truckstop for me. Vern Drylie Photo

2014 was the year Kim-Tam celebrated it's 50th anniversary in business. See this link to their website.
The QEW between Burlington and Mississauga is a good place to see SAMUEL / KIM-TAM equipment.

Stelco (now US STEEL Canada) built an integrated steel mill at Nanticoke southwest of Hamilton. I went past it in late May 2016. This heavy coil mover Btrain was spotted wearing Samuel Steel paint and lettering. I only caught a "going away" shot but the axle grouping - two quads - and the large coil beds on the trailers made it an interesting unit.
