Challenger Motor Freight is based in Cambridge Ontario. It also has terminals in Delta BC and Dorval QC
Here is a Challenger Peterbilt 386. It looked brand new. Toronto - July 2007 This Freightliner Classic was in Toronto June 2006 Here is a Sterling day cab . Mississauga - August 2007
The Volvo sleeper is Challenger's standard tractor. Toronto January 2006 This Mack daycab is on a Loblaws store delivery run. -September 2007 This Challenger Freightliner Coronado was on a Loblaws store delivery run - September 2007
This Challenger Freightliner was parked at a small truckstop in central Ontario - October 2007 Kenworth T2000 getting fuel at the ESSO - December 2007 This Challenger Volvo was headed towards Toronto on the QEW in Oakville - February 2008
Challenger acquired Lodwick Transport of Beaverton ON in 2007 to expand their reefer fleet. This Lodwick Freightliner Classic has not been repainted into Challenger's scheme. - May 2008 Two Challenger highway units have just pulled into the large Purolator terminal in Toronto on a Sunday afternoon. - August 2008

Here we see Lodwick unit 201 hooked up to a reefer trailer. The Lodwick name appears in Challenger colours and font. This Volvo was parked in Toronto - May 2009 This Freightliner was Toronto bound on the QEW

Challenger has several subsidiaries:
CAM HILTZ TRUCKING is based in Newmarket Ontario and specializes in hauling garbage from Toronto to Michigan dumpsites. This Peterbilt was seen near Aberfoyle Ontario - September 2009 ELGIN MOTOR FREIGHT is based in London Ontario and hauls automotive parts between Ontario and Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. This Elgin Freightliner was pulling a BR SMITH trailer in Mississauga. - June 2009 I hadn't seen any Loblaws loads pulled by Challenger for the last couple of years until this Freightliner Classic was at my local NO FRILLS in February 2010.
The early morning sun had just hit this Challenger unit that had spent the night in parked in Etobicoke ON. - May 2010 These two Challenger units had just departed from the Cambridge ON terminal - November 2010 Here is a Challenger Volvo day cab hauling a twenty foot container in Oakville ON - November 2012.
Challenger had this new Volvo tractor at the TRUCKWORLD show in April 2012. My friend Jon Jones caught Challenger Volvo 61111 parked in the bobtail line at the Mississauga Husky Truck Stop. 12-28-12. Here is a Cascadia pulling an empty B-Train container chassis. - May 2013.
LODWICK TRANSPORT was rebranded as CHALLENGER CLIMATE in March 2013.
This Freightliner, seen in July 2013, wears the new name on the door.

This Freightliner Cascadia is pulling a dry van. Mississauga - October 2013.
There are still many Volvos in the Challenger fleet. Unit 61438 was seen near the Mississauga terminal. October 2013. This Cascadia was seen entering the QEW in May 2013. A Volvo from Challenger Climate pulls an unrebranded Lodwick Transport trailer in Mississauga - June 2014.
This Challenger Cascadia was cruising along the QEW, July 2014. Containers from Japan being hauled on Hwy. 401 - March 2014.
I speculate these might be parts for Toyota Cambridge Assembly.

He was running with this owner operator Peterbilt 386. Challenger had their COMMUNITY CRUISER at the Truckworld 16 show. Here is a Kenworth from the Challenger Bulk division rolling down Highway 401. June 2017.
This Challenger Volvo tractor is marked for the CLIMATE Division that runs reefers but it is hauling a dry van trailer. This Challenger Peterbilt has just left the Toronto Annex yard with two 20 foot containers. - July 2018
