Bruce R. Smith started a trucking service in the village of Walsh Ontario in 1947. The company, still owned and run by the family, has grown to one of the largest full load carriers in Ontario.

The head office is still in Walsh and a large terminal is located in Mississauga. There are terminals in London and Chatham Ont and in Point Claire Quebec.

** 2016 Update - Bruce R Smith is no longer operated by the founding family. The yard in Walsh has been closed as well as the terminal in Mississauga. It is now associated with Fastfrate and operates from their terminal in Woodbridge.***
