I am a delivery driver for Sysco Food Services of Grand Rapids, based in Northern Michigan.
1987 R model Mack (#361) with a single 28' Utility flat floor trailer. These pics were taken at our Cadillac, MI location sometime in 1996. All of our R model Macks have been retired or sold off, except the three we use for yard tractors.
1995 Freightliner FLD112 (#391) with a set of Utility 28' trailers. The pictures were taken in our Harbor Springs, MI location in the fall of 1998.
Another Freightliner FLD112 (#536) with a set of Kidron 28' drop deck trailers. This pic was taken in our Grand Rapids, MI facility circa 2001. We one of two Sysco houses that use this particular style of trailer, though they are being phased out. Instead of an 'A' style converter dolly, we use Silver Eagle 'C' style self-steering dollies (which can be locked so we can back them up). And the current tractor I drive (May 2007), a 2002 International 9200 Eagle (#587). It is hooked to a set of Kidron 28' drop deck trailers. The location is Harbor Springs, MI 2003.
My current truck (September 2007) is a 2005 Mack Vision with a six speed automatic tranny (a school bus, LOL). Some of the other trucks we have had include Mack R models, Freightliner FLD 112, International 9400s, and a few Freightliner FL70's.
